PITTSBORO, Ind. – After a career weekend at Road America in mid-June and a weekend to forget at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, TJ Speed Motorsports is now headed north of the border to Toronto, Canada. Set to take on the Streets of Toronto and the Honda Indy Toronto alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, TJ Speed is bringing three drivers in the quest for race wins and podium results in Canada.

Entering three rookies in USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires this season, TJ Speed is also a rookie program in the USF Pro Championships but was used to winning from previous programs. Earning podium results earlier in the season, TJ Speed broke through at Road America to earn their first career win thanks to Lirim Zendeli. That same weekend, Christian Weir earned TJ Speed’s first career USF Pro 2000 pole position while Francesco Pizzi scored the team's first USF Pro podium result this season earlier in 2023.

Entering Toronto, the three drivers of Pizzi, Zendeli, and Weir will look to return to their ways of Road America. As the dominant team in the paddock that weekend, TJ Speed has been working hard to ensure that they enter Toronto just as prepared and leave with some hardware.

“Our drivers have performed well all year and they have consistently improved,” expressed TJ Speed’s Tim Neff. “We have two drivers in the top-ten in the championship points chase and a strong event in Toronto could help set us up for a run at the title in our first season.”

As Toronto marks the point of the season that many teams and drivers look toward the upcoming year, TJ Speed is doing the same.

Neff continued, “We have had a ton of inquiries for next year, and I am confident that is based on the success from the past two seasons. We are wading through potential drivers for 2024 and hope to have these drivers confirmed shortly.”

Set to hit the track Friday for one practice session, TJ Speed drivers will progress into qualifying that afternoon for race one. Saturday morning will see qualifying for race two which will take place Sunday morning while the first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend goes green on Saturday afternoon.
